Do video games make you a more violent and aggressive person? That is the question we are covering today. We touched on this topic before in our episode "Does Fortnite Make You Violent?" but I think, in the wake of current happenings, it deserves a deeper look. This is a tricky and very personal topic for myself and many others, so I am going to do my best to do my due diligence. Today we attempt to answer the long argued question, "Do Video Games Make You Violent?"

  • Man, I've been loving the new kinds of videos you've been putting out, Mat and the Theorist team! Thanks for doing this research and making this video. The thought you put into writing and discovering all this information shows, and I'm incredibly proud of the work you've done and continue to do. I'm super familiar with all these arguments and issues going into the world of journalism myself, but it just makes me want to get there even faster - to try and do this kind of ethical research and reporting. It's not easy to put aside your personal perspective and see what you find, but you did, and I thank you on behalf of those of us who aspire to do that too. :D

  • I feel like a good test for correlation between Video Games and Real World Violence is having a real world pistol filled with blank rounds in the middle of the table and having 2 subjects play the same game together. They are under the impression that the gun has real bullets in it. They would play for a hour in different First Person Shooters in online matches. If none grabs the pistol and try's to shoot the other then the test would prove that violence is not caused by video games, cruel but yk. Also do it with multiple people

So it falls for us, the elders, to help the young ones to sieve through what they can and cannot consume until they are adult enough to contemplate and pick the best for themselves.

  • i have a theory of my own that falls in the middle of both of the cause that does not lean more to any one side, this is not based on many real facts but is mostly on what i know. I think that when violent video games give people the feel of violence, this piece goes any way cause it could be the reason why people do it more, or do it less, think of it like nicotine it makes you either want to do it more or less you smoke once it makes you want to do it again so you either go to games again or you start taking it out in the real world. for the people who wants to think this is real facts no this is just loosely bases on gut feeling and my own knowledge and experience

  • Video games can sometimes can cause aggression This is exactly relatable to a child being angry at his parents bcoz he didn't get a chocolate or something he wanted So in a Family A video game usage should be controlled in such a manner that the child is also satisfied and happy and he doesn't become addicted. So finally a Parent can guide their children but also be good enough to let them play video games for at least 1 hour and 1 and a half hour at the most. Even if you say that's too much, See yourself. Do you spend more than half an hour or not. So in the end, If guided and in controlled usage, Video games have no effect on any aspect on a person's life (except entertainment) But this is just my opinion in the end

If you are consuming this substance you will see the following effects; 1) Sweating 2) Not being able to control your bladder properly 3) Even dying on large amounts Please, make evil companies stop producing these AND selling then for profit should be stopped. Then should pay for what they are doing. Together we can stop dihydrogen monoxide, we can stop water. Note: This comment is posted to make you understand what innocent things can become with the right words. Dihydrogen Monoxide is a fancy way of saying H2O which is a fancy way of saying water.
